SUBTLE TO DEEP COMPRESSION
The M.D. Effects Compactor is a compression pedal created with versatility in mind. If you are looking for a compressor that can go from brilliantly subtle sustain, to beautifully deep compression, look no further than the Compactor. It's four knobs, Volume, Comp, Ratio, and EQ, give you the ability to create the tones you didn't know were possible. In designing the Compactor, one thing remained very important, having control over the EQ.
The compactor not only allows you to add brightness through the EQ control, but also allows you to give your tone a clarity boost with the Bright toggle. This pedal is the result of much research, time, and energy, making it our biggest project yet. Many high quality controls, and a competitive price, sets the Compactor apart from the rest.
VOLUME: Controls the overall volume level of the pedal. Use this control as either a clean boost or to offset the natural gain loss from a compression effect. Has significant volume on tap! Turning right increases the volume.
COMP: Controls the compression threshold level. All the way left is large threshold (low compression), all the way right is low threshold (high compression)
RATIO: Controls the ratio of the clean signal to the compressed signal. All the way right is full compression, all the way left is none.
EQ: Controls the EQ settings of the pedal. Turned to the left is darker, turned to the right is brighter.
BRIGHT: The bright toggle can be used along with the EQ knob to add some more clarity back into the signal that can sometimes be lost with a compression effect. Adds a very nice punch to your tone. Up is on, down is off.
This pedal accepts standard 9V DC negative power and consumes less than 100mA. Attempting to power the pedal with any other power source than recommended by the manufacturer voids your warranty.
